about

Most of my current work revolves around field-recording and traditional music. However, in the not-so-distant past my obsession was glitch and the misuse of digital (and other) technologies; this became the focus of my postgraduate degree.

As is often the case, it was a serendipitous event that sparked this creative idea. The accidental sampling on my Yamaha SU10 of a fast-forwarded CD when looking for a drum snippet presented a glitchy breakbeat that was funkier than any funky drummer. I never looked back. Until now.

I am looking back through a collection of tracks, pulled semi-randomly from a back catalogue of dusty CDRs and Minidiscs not so carefully stored in a sellotaped file box. This album compiles some of what I found.
